In Balance Rehab has been providing physical therapy, rehabilitation and wellness services to the residents of Brevard County for 10 years. On your first visit, you will immediately notice we are different than the traditional therapy clinics.
We assess your condition to identify the underlying cause and treat your entire body, not just the site of pain.

Dr. Mike Nichols

Doctor of Physical Therapy
Dr. Nichols has had the privilege of growing up in Cocoa Beach and is honored to have the opportunity to continue serving his hometown community at In Balance Rehab.
He holds a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Central Florida. He uses a blend of evidence-based medicine, manual therapy, functional training, and exercise to provide holistic care for each client.
He has completed post – graduate coursework in orthopedics, muscle energy techniques, and sport – specific injury prevention.
Emily Tillinger

Physical Therapy Assistant
Emily Tillinger is a native Floridian who earned an Associate of Science in Physical Therapist Assisting from Eastern Florida State College. She has worked with a variety of patient populations ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics.
She has experience working with patients with neurological diagnosis such as, neuropathy, Parkinson’s Disease, stroke rehabilitation, as well as a variety of orthopedic diagnoses. Emily implements a combination of manual therapy techniques along with an individualized therapeutic exercise program to address your specific needs.
Emily believes in making your rehabilitation an enjoyable process while teaching you how to care for your body.
Andrew Hammonds
Physical Therapy Assistant
Andrew is a PTA graduate from Eastern Florida State College chasing his dream to help people get the most out of their life in all aspects, especially physically! Growing up just outside of St. Louis, MO he was inspired by his mother who was also a PTA.
Physical therapy has been a big part of Andrew’s life watching his mother practice as well as help him recover from many injuries. Andrew is more than eager to help enhance the quality of life in anyone who walks through In Balance Rehab's doors by bringing a fun, encouraging, and healing spirit to the clinic.
Brandon Livingston
Physical Therapy Assistant
Brandon is a native Floridian, who grew up in Brevard County. He was home schooled until attending Eastern Florida State College where he graduated from the PTA program. He has had the opportunity to work with a variety of patient populations in different practice settings, lending to a well-rounded background. In his free time he enjoys competing in ninja warrior competitions around the country.

It is rare to see Brandon without a smile on his face. He has a bubbly personality with a genuine, kind heart. These characteristics blended with his wide-ranging physical therapy knowledge creates quality outcomes in patient care.
We specialize in outpatient orthopedics, geriatrics, and sports related injuries.
